Hypnosis Is a natural altered state of consciousness.

The client reaches this state by a suggestion of breathing exercises and mental imagery which allows the client to achieve a very relaxed state of mind. When the client has achieved this state of relaxation there mind is more receptive and responsive to suggestion while still maintaining the ability to reject any suggestion as presented.

Hypnosis has often been compared to daydreaming. Have you ever been watching TV and someone is calling your name and you don't hear them because you are completely tuned into the TV, that is similar to the state of hypnosis.

All hypnosis is self hypnosis.

Hypnosis can be used for many things, pain control, anxiety, weight loss etc.
